STEM Bridge Building with BAM Nuttal

On the 24th of January, Primary 6 pupils were extremely fortunate to have a visit from the civil engineering firm BAM Nuttall who provided all P6 pupils with the opportunity to participate in a bridge building activity!

The bridge measured 15 metres in length and they learnt not only about the structure of bridges but how important it was to work in a team throughout the process.  The P6 pupils were provided with the opporutnituy to ask lots of questions about civil engineering and what key subjects they would need to pursue a career in this line of work!

Thanks so much for this fabulous opportunity….particiularly to Claire Ferguson (Brooke’s mum) who arranged it all for the class.

Miss Coe 🙂
